I am an equity leader, educational consultant, and a public speaker with over 20 years of experience dedicated to improving the outcomes of students with dis/abilities. I specialize in staff professional development, program improvement, and inclusive education. I graduated with honors from St. Mary’s College of California with the degree of Master of Arts in Teaching Leadership. My background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy and post-graduate studies in Special Education. Currently, I am pursuing a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Southern California and my dissertation topic is focused on exclusionary discipline practices that disproportionately impact Black students with dis/abilities.

Prior to working as a school administrator and a consultant, I taught students with special needs for 15 years using evidence-based instructional strategies which earned a nomination for Teacher of the Year in 2011. I was also featured in an article by the East Bay Times in August 2017 for my Edtalk on Inclusive Education at the California Teachers Summit. As part of my advocacy for inclusion, I actively participate in educational conferences as a presenter and an Edtalk speaker, mentor and coach teachers and parents of individuals with disabilities, and serve as a voice to the special needs population on social media.

As a strong proponent of evidence-based strategies that promote student achievement and inclusive education, my vision is to fully equip and socially empower marginalized student populations by building capacities and through community partnership. Get in touch today to know more about my projects and my services.
